Key issue of the Slovenian independent audiovisual industry
Producer.si members have collectively produced over 4000 hours of prime-time television content and have been systematically discriminated against for over 15 years by the local audiovisual collective management organization – AIPA k.o., whose main objective is to collect remuneration in the name of right holders. To date, they have over seven times the annual distribution amount in reservations.
Producer.si supports, protects and advances the local independent film and TV industry.

We look at society and the world, we think, we tell stories and we show moving pictures of life. Responsible and successful. More than 4000 hours of fiction, documentary, youth and music programming, raising the bar of expectations for filmmakers on the one hand and viewers on the other.
We are the pioneers of Slovenian independent production, which has had a fatal impact on the size and quality of the Slovenian AV sector. Our content has won and continues to win. They have redefined the power of the media, its viewership and popularity. We have repeatedly reshuffled the cards in Slovenia. The first cards have become the last and the last the first.
We have won professional and popular awards in the field of AV production. We are the association behind the largest domestic catalogue of AV works.
Producer.si supports, protects and helps local independent AV production.
We fight for the implementation of legally established quotas of domestic AV works in Slovenian media programmes. At the same time, we advocate for EU producers to meet their quotas, who, just like domestic AV production, suffer from non-compliance with the prescribed quotas.
We are also vocal opponents of the ten-year operation of the collective organisation AIPA k.o., which in our personal view (as confirmed by the annual reports) does not operate in accordance with local and EU legislation. Aipa is a malfunctioning and unprofitable collective organisation which keeps and retains in its accounts funds belonging to domestic owners. More than fifteen million euros of money is not distributed to the owners.
